Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by some of the nation’s leading experts on tree care. Certified Arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification. Therefore, they are more likely to be up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.
Arborist Reports
Conducted by a Certified Arborist, this is a detailed written report that begins with an on-site inspection and assessment. All reports are customized for each individual project. Reports may include recommendations for proper tree protection measures, mapping, and/or a summary of the overall health of your tree(s). Reports should be used prior to any land development, construction or removal project.
Tree Pruning
Pruning is the most common tree maintenance procedure. Although forest trees grow quite well with only nature’s pruning, landscape trees require a higher level of care to maintain their safety and aesthetics. Pruning should be done with an understanding of how the tree responds to each cut. Improper pruning can cause damage that will last for the life of the tree, or worse, shorten the tree’s life.
